Just kidding, it’s totally us.

The time has come to admit what you all have probably known for quite a while. Wess and I just don’t have the time or energy to put together a weekly show at all. Since the move to VT I have been knee-deep in work (re-structuring horrible networks FTW!), and the wife and I are trying to have a lil’ one, which is just as time consuming as it sounds. Wess is settling in at Denver, and is in the process of getting hitched (she’s actually NOT inflatable). With all of that going on, we can’t put together the quality of show we want to, even when we can put up a show.

We’re going to leave the site, the archives, and the IRC channel up (I may actually get to make appearances in there again soon), so you all can look back at the “glory days” of Unpersons, such as it is.

Blackhat and DEFCON were amazing experiences! The amount of information that is dispelled is unreal. I’m still trying to process everything that I was able to absorb. I did get an interview with a friend of mine with his views of DEFCON as a Goon, and some of his side projects. I was also allowed access to Dan Kaminski’s press conference. I will be writing articles on the talks that we made it to and took notes as well as an editorial on what Dan had to say. Stay tuned for updates!

Brian is in the process of getting settled into the frozen tundra right now. As you read this he is probably hunting some elk or something to cover his tent or for a blanket to keep him warm around his camp fire. He has informed me that building a spear really isn’t that difficult and a bow is next on his list of survival gear.

With his lack of internet, I asked a long time friend, active member, and regular guest on the show, BobbyCarbn, to guest host with me. There was plenty of good conversation and general geekery for everyone. Clocking in at 1:56 weighing almost 80MB, 026 is going down in the history books of Unpersons.

We kind of dropped the ball last week, and I fear we are about to again.

If any of you follow Wess on Twitter, you can see that he has been overtaken with what I assume to be some new strain of the black plague, and I deem him unfit for your listening pleasure. Doubly compounding this is the fact that I have done nothing but pack in preparation for my upcoming move to the frozen tundra and have a severe need to drink a beer and do nothing at all tonight.

All is not lost, however. The wife is making an escapade to sell her wares at a local craft show, leaving me with a chunk of time. I am going to pour some Tussin on Wess and we will record a faux-show over the weekend to be uploaded this week as a methadone for all you Unpersonites.

Even if we are invisible, you are not alone.

I know that we took a 1 month hiatus, and there wasn’t a whole lot of communication between us and you. We’re going to make sure that doesn’t happen again. Someone made the awesome suggestion, and we spoke about it in the most recent episode, that if we know we’re not going to make it for a show Friday night, we hand it over to some people that would like to take a crack at broadcasting under the Unpersons’ flag. I got up early to do somethings with my family, then came home and crashed out. Brian was doing his thing. We totally just dropped the ball, and recognize our epic failure. Update for the Unpersonites

Hey everyone! I just wanted to make a real news post letting you know the present state of affairs over at Unpersons’ Studios.

We’ve both been really busy with work and all that other crap that has come to be known as ‘life in general’. For those of you that don’t know, I’m an IT contractor and my present contract has me flying back and forth between home and Denver every week. This has drastically cut down on my ability to do all the cool and fun shit that revolves around the show. I’m actually thinking about getting an Arcade 360 and just leaving it in Denver so I have a way to continue to review games.

Another thing that’s in the works is a Skype voicemail box. We understand that with the show being Friday night at 9PM EDT makes it a little more difficult to listen live. Some of you actually have ‘lives’ and are out with ‘friends’ or having ’sex’ on Friday nights. This voicemail box will allow you to call in at your convienence and still be a part of the show. Once I have it all figured out, I plan on having 3 numbers tied to the mailbox. There will be one in Austraila, one in the United Kingdom, and the third will be US based. These are the locations that Unpersonite concentrations are highest. That coupled with the stupid cheap rates of skype out and other VoIP services, most people can participate for pennies USD.

The idea for the skype mailbox came from a listener via e-mail. We read all of our e-mail and take suggestions very openly. If you have something on your mind you’d that you think would improve the show, or something you’d like us to discuss, please don’t hesitate to e-mail us. As you all may or may not be aware, Unpersons is finally using a legit copy of our broadcasting software. Unfortunately, this meant that everything needed to be reinstalled and reconfigured. Also, this meant that Wess needed to reset our stream to record onto his hard drive, which he managed to forget to do.

As a result, episode 11, and the much rumored episode 10 you’ve all been eagerly waiting for will not be available to download. On behalf of Wess’ indeptitude, I apologize to all of you, and I assure you I will be taking more of an active role in the future to ensure that Wess manages to not screw us all over again.

For those of you that missed the live broadcast for 10 and 11, let me bring you up to speed.

Wess announced his homosexuality as well as explained his need to be called a raging asshole stems from a burning desire to lick poop.
I wrestled a bear to death on the air while drinking a fifth of Jack.
